Another commission piece, the intention was to explore some chiaroscuro/tenebrism with Saturn, or Cronus as the focal character. Taking cues from classic religious drawings and paintings as well as tales of Roman and Greek mythology, the characters are shown providing their children as sacrifice to the child-devouring god of harvest and time.
